How Often Do You Transport Beverages By The Pallet Load?

By November 23, 2021 No Comments

Do you transport goods from place to place in the back of a truck/trailer? How about loading pallets on a plane and moving them by air? If one of these are your line of work, what do you regularly carry by the pallet load? Is it electronics, prescriptions, or beverages? Regardless of which one of those it is, you should take precautions to protect the items from extreme heat and cold with a passive pallet cover.

However, for this purpose, we will strictly be focusing on shipping drinks. Hot and cold temperatures can wreak havoc on pallets of beverages. Not to mention, so can UV rays. After all, when pallets get transported, it isn’t uncommon for them to get left on tarmacs/loading docks while people load trucks or planes, where they’re subjected to such conditions. Why do beverages need protection? That’s a great question and one we plan to address in the next section. Hence, if your interest is piqued, please, stick around and read on to learn more.

What Can Extreme Heat/Cold Do To Beverages?

Tons of things can happen to pallets of beverages when they’re left in the heat or cold. For instance, if the temp is well below freezing, wine, soda, water, and other items can freeze. Then, after that occurs, or once the liquids begin to thaw, their containers can burst. That could certainly cause a huge mess on your watch. Not only that, but if fruit juices, alcohols, or other drinks get too hot or cold, their colors, flavors, and more can change. Naturally, nobody will want to consume them then, and if it gets back to the seller that you’re the reason why, they might charge you for the merchandise. Don’t worry, though. We have a solution that can help you keep such issues at bay.

A Passive Pallet Cover

The SureTemp Premium Pallet Cover is a passive pallet cover available with single or double-bubble insulation. Whichever one you choose, it will protect against heat and cold. However, a primary difference between the units is that the single-bubble option is for single-use, while the double-bubble alternative is for multiple uses. The standard passive pallet cover will fit 36″, 48″, 60″, and 72″ U.S. loads. But if that doesn’t do the trick, we also have custom sizes available.

Did we mention that the coverings are lightweight and easy to install too? It’s true. So, you can give pallets protection without having to drag out a heavy blanket or fight to install it. Regardless of how you look at it, that’s a win-win. Are you ready to place an order, or do you have further questions? Either way, don’t hesitate to pick up the phone and give us a call.
